Utopia Auto Body, Inc. was created back in February 1990 in Sacramento County. Owner Rick Kniesel grew up working at his parents shop in Citrus Heights, California. He started working part-time at the young age of 10 doing small things around the body shop and following his father around. As he started to grow in age so did his knowledge of the collision repair business. He has worked each and every department of the body shop, starting off in the detail department and working as a journeyman body technician and painter. In 1990 Rick wanted to open his own business and be able to be independent. He started off in a small shop in North Highlands and then worked his way to the Roseville Road location. Rick has always been there everyday overseeing the repair process of each and every vehicle. His wealth of knowledge in the industry is the strength of Utopia Auto Body, and is what has made our business a success for the last 20 years. Utopia Auto Body continues to be a family business with his wife Tracy who handles accounting and oversees the marketing. They are joined by their oldest of three daughters, Jennifer who works in the front office assisting in the daily process of the repairs. Many agents, adjusters and loyal customers even know their two youngest daughters as they are often seen while visiting and wanting to help out in the office.

• Utopia is a Good Hands Repair Network shop with Allstate. We have been able to satisfy Allstate members for the past 8 years and continue doing so everyday.


• We are a DRN (Direct Repair Network) with AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah, which is also known as ‘Triple A.’ Utopia has been with CSAA for 4 years and continue to build a long lasting future with them based on the satisfaction of their members.
